Danielle Colby is a multifaceted television personality, burlesque entertainer, entrepreneur, and passionate collector, best known for her role on the History’s hit reality series, American Pickers. Born on December 3, 1975, in Davenport, Iowa, Danielle grew up surrounded by her family’s love for antiques and unique items. This early exposure sparked her lifelong interest in collecting and preserving history through artifacts.
Before her television debut, Danielle pursued various artistic and performance-based interests. She founded, produced and performed in a burlesque troupe based out of the Iowa and Illinois collective Mississippi River towns of the Quad Cities. which helped her develop a strong stage presence and a keen sense of storytelling. Danielle continues to travel throughout the world performing Burlesque and plans to continue celebrating this art form long into the future.
As a fashion enthusiast, she also opened a fashion inspired vintage boutique called 4 Miles 2 Memphis in Iowa and later Chicago, where she showcased her eye for vintage fashion and collectables.
In 2009 Danielle’s life took an adventurous turn when she was asked by her friend, Mike Wolfe, to be a part of the American Pickers project. As the team’s savvy office manager, she quickly became a fan favorite for her quick wit and ability to search out rare and valuable items. Her role on the show enabled her to combine her passion for history, antiques, burlesque and storytelling, all while helping the team uncover America’s hidden treasures, ranging from rare motorcycles to highly collectible vintage textiles and clothing and, Danielle’s personal favorite, long lost burlesque history.
Danielle has also used her platform to raise awareness for various causes close to her heart. She is a vocal advocate for animal welfare, working closely with animal rescue organizations and has supported LGBTQ+ rights and women’s empowerment initiatives throughout her career.
In her personal life, Danielle is a proud mother of two children, and her hobbies include gardening, sewing, reading and exploring the world of antiques. Her dedication to preserving and celebrating history, along with her dynamic personality and unwavering work ethic, have made her an inspiration to fans and fellow collectors alike.
