Damon Johnson is an American guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter, currently a member of hard rock bands Thin Lizzy and Black Star Riders. In the 1990s he co-founded Brother Cane, and later joined Alice Cooper‘s band as lead guitarist. Johnson has released two solo acoustic albums and regularly performs as a solo artist, and will be releasing his first “electric” solo album, ‘Echo’, in the spring of 2016. He has written songs that have been recorded by many other artists including Stevie Nicks and Carlos Santana.
Brother Cane released three heralded albums (on Virgin Records) between 1993 and 1998, yielding three #1 songs at U.S. Active Rock Radio.

Damon toured the world as guitarist for Alice Cooper for 6 years between 2004 and 2011, and also contributed songwriting to Alice’s albums ‘Dirty Diamonds’ and ‘Along Came A Spider’.
Johnson became a member of Thin Lizzy in late 2011. On the decision to record new music, while respecting the legacy of the late great Phil Lynott, the band morphed into a new entity, Black Star Riders. BSR has released two critically acclaimed albums (on Nuclear Blast Records), all songs co-written by Johnson.
