W.A.S.P.

W.A.S.P. were formed in 1982 in Southern California. Lead Vocalist Blackie Lawless, Guitarists Chris Holmes and Randy Piper and drummer Tony Richards. Within just a couple of months of forming the original demos were recorded. Those demos yielded what would become the majority of the first album. That self-titled album W.A.S.P. would go on to sell millions of records worldwide and was accompanied by a live show that created controversy in countries all over the world. That 1st album was then followed by more multi-Platinum records and sold-out worldwide tours that would continue for more than 37 years…… and still going strong with no end in sight. Few Rock Bands can lay claim to such accolades and staying power. Lead vocalist Blackie Lawless says, “by the Grace of God I’ve been blessed to do what I do. I see no stopping on the horizon. I’ll stop when I’m in a box” !!

With the 40th anniversary of the Band looming closer, it’s a legacy that is an undisputed “Beast” of Metal!!
